The track operates on a special use permit. Some things happened with the neighboring communities and track was shut down. In order to reopen, the track had to agree to several methods of noise control. One being cars only allowed up to 94db and the other being only 200 people total on site at a time. That 200 people includes facility staff, nasa staff, safety, and all drivers. Additionally, part of that agreement also states that over 99 people requires a cop and over 199 people requires a second cop. Well, since the cops fall into that 200 people on site, this limits us even more because why pay for a second cop for 1 extra person to be on site. So realistically, the amount of people allowed on site is 198. Since we see about 150ish just in drivers, there isnt much room for everyone to bring a guest. That being said, it is easier to say no guests than say yes to some and no to others.

Just paid online for my nasa renewal and signed up for the sound test on Saturday, will bring cash to pay the rest on saturday. Signing up for DE3 hoping to get a check ride to go to DE4... Can't wait, this was the first track I ever drove on when it first opened in 03/04 and time to get back to it....
