Anyone know the difference between a jl 500/1 amp and a jl JX 500/1 amp?

Which model 500.1 are you trying to compare it to? The jx is a 2ohm stable class d monoblock that puts outout 500w @ 2ohms and the v2 500.1 is 1.5ohm stable but puts out 500w from 1.5-4ohms. Jx retail price is $300, v2 retail price is $600...

More important question is which sub are you trying to power?

trying power 2 jl 10 w3.. my cousin runs 500/1 jl with 2 tens and i just wondering whats the difference because i see jl jx 500/1 which is cheaper

2 or 4 ohm? 4ohm would be fine on the jx as it puts out 500w @2ohms(wired in parallel) if you have 2ohm w3's the jx would only put out around 300w if wired for 4ohms as the jx isn't 1 ohm stable. The v2 will put out 500w at 4ohms though.
