need help

So i just recently bought a 12 sub and and a amp on craigslist it still has warranty on them bought new wire kit for the amp new battery new stereo and when i turn up the music the amp turns off and on until i turn it down my lights dimmer to so idk what to do at this point any ideas?

Is this when the car is running or off? Try running bigger gauge wire for the amp kit. And try tuning it in an out less bass usually cures this lol

i only turn up the stereo to like 20 and the amp shuts off?? the bass isnt even that high either im starting to think its my alternator i ran thicker gauge wire i tried a different amp does the same different speaker does the same so im kinda stuck here..

turn the gain down on the amp. is it hot?

Amp and sub model numbers. Wiring configuration from amp to sub and dvc wiring configuration if its dvc.

sorry for the late response but just figured out my sub was blown so it was making the amp go into protect got a new sub so everythings working fine now thanks for the help..

i guess it was i bought it from some guy on craigslist for 100 box with pioneer 820 watt amp and a 1200watt pioneer speaker he even gave me the receipts where he bought them went to walmart told them it wasnt working they gave me like 71 dollars back lol
