View Full Version : vitara turbo build? or b series

I have a budget of $3000. i want to get to 320 330 whp in my eg hatch which has a stock d15. should i just buy a d16z6 and build it? how far will 3gs get me with that build. how far will 3 grand get me if i went b series?

I highly doubt that's possibly but that's just me.

3g's will prolly get you strong single cam with an ebay turbo kit or you could get a b series tha smokes in vtec and an ebay turbo kit. Either way 320-330 whp is hard to obtain with 3g's if you dont have hook up or dont know how to build it all yourself.

I have about 1300 into my vitara setup and turbo kit. Granted i got the Manifold/dp and charge piping at cost 3k is possible without "hookups" with an "ok" kit.

If you have a good builder block the bottom end would be under 1k to do. Stock head doesnt become a bottle neck till well after what the OP wants for power.

If he isnt doing the labor himself i can see the 3k being hard, but if he is mechanically inclined it will be totally obtainable.

i plan on doing all of the labor its just the parts i need and the cost of those parts to make that goal happen or atleast close to that goal is my concern

I say go B series.. More potential, and they're almost as cheap as a D

I would go with a Vitara turbo D than a N/A stock b-series ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

Ive been doing some research and i got most information from a build I saw in Honda tuning Let me know if I went over board or if I'm missing anything
D16z6(short block long block or complete)
Bishimoto level 2.4 camshaft
Rc auto works 75.5 vitara pistons and custom rods
Bishinoto d16z6 pro Spring titanium retainer kit
Arp stud kit
Oem bearings
1000 cc injectors
I'm not completely sure on what turbo or anything like that so any help will be appreciated
