I just took over a group fitness class in Scottsdale.Everything is going pretty excepts, it's filled with young single hot women and cougars. I know most of you like dudes so it's probably not appealing for you to come.

I prefer to train men obviously, what do you think I can do to reach guys? Im not trying to run off the existing class but maybe add some diversity. We had 25 girls last night there.

I wouldn't worry about getting dudes in there. I personally don't see a lot of guys doing one of those group fitness classes. Just enjoy the eye candy, and if you wanna train some people in real weight lifting, then seek out some guys.

Do they give you shit to teach or is it all up to you?

I pretty much run them through whaterever I want. The big thing is to get them into one on one training where the real money is made.

Yeah, lots of bodyweight exercises. Squats, lunges, jumping jacks (yeeah buddy), pushups running, situps, etc etc

haha yeah. It did sound a little homo erotic. It's a good option for the typical "how do I lose weight, hellp!!" type crowd. It's more of a football practice than anything else. Lots of high intensity type work.

The cool part is it's way cheaper than hiring me for a one on one. It's only 59 a month plus I dont charge much for meal plans

from personal experience the most successful trainers that I have seen start by one: looking great, if you look like you know how to work out then you probably do. appearance sells more than what you say. two: be approachable when someone has an odd question answer it with pleasure, if people are asking you for advice you appear to know what your talking about. three: use multiple gyms, train all over the place do not stay in one place. four: advertise, it is important for people to know what you do, why you do it, and when your available. posters and business cards show that your professional and there to take care of business. five: offer to people that you already train discounts for referrals. start out on the cheaper side and raise your rates as business starts to boom. best of luck.
