The last owner of the civic I had to duct tape the passenger side window up for a while and now there's a bunch of dried crap on there since they never tried to clean it. Any tips to get it off?

Bug & Tar remover. Don't let it sit too long and don't press too hard when wiping it off with a microfiber towel.

Also, BMW makes a chemical called K1. They sell it at BMW dealerships, its more of a harsh chemical, made to remove glue and residue when removing rear lip spoilers. Comes in a small container like lighter fluid would.

Whichever chemical you decide to use, wipe it clean with a degreaser when done, then re-wax afterwards to add a top protecting coat.

before you go buy a bunch of stuff, just try windex and a razor and scrape it off.

I was mainly referring to the chemicals above if you have the junk on the rubber trim or paint around the windows. Razor blade and razor work perfectly fine on the glass. But most tape up windows to the top of the roof between the A and B pillar... So might have some residue on the paint and seals.

I like a foaming glass cleaner and a razor blade. Works great for bugs that have sat too long on the glass in the sun too.
