I wanna fresh up my engine its a jdm h22a the block marks say its a 97' i know that sleeves is the way to go because of the frm sleeves they have or just mahle piston because there compatible with frm but how about just some type s pistons can i just leave the stock sleeves ? I been doing alot of research but every thread and every article i read says different i wanna know if theres somebody here that knows h22/h23 to get a solid answer.

If you did so much research you'd know the answer to those questions.
What's your goal? Budget? Experience?
You have to figure out first what you really want and if you can afford it. From the sounds of it you should take your engine to someone who knows what they're doing.

yes you can use type s pistons. Mahle is definately a good way to go as well I know a few people that have had good success with them. Just make sure you take the block to a machine shop that knows the RPM's to turn FRM at and has the correct stones.

i have mahle pistons fs hit me up . im not going to use them on my build

have you ever used them before ? some poeple say there good some say there not but i wanna know from somebody who actually used them.
