Im going to do a 99-00 front end conversion next week and need to know if its necessary to keep the headlight brackets. My passenger side is beat up so idk if i should get another one or just throw em away

they are the same, there plenty of write up on how to convert from 99-00 to 96-98 and vice versa.
fenders, hood bumper and lights thats all you need. then modify the bumper braket

It doesn't matter.. you can replace it anytime and both 96-98 and 99-00 are the same..

i assume your talking about that bracket held on with 10 mils that is right under the headlight? that bracket just holds the bumper in place keeps it snug under the headlight... your gonna want that, but i have seen plenty cars without it so no not mandatory but preferable
