On top if all other problems i have another one.

Cliff notes:

After the car sits for 8 hours itvstarts up
Driving it around the block and shutting off then started right bsck up it wont.
Chamber will get flood with gas
I open the key to II postion but no crank, my iacv stays open unless i unplug it
Same problem ^^^ its starts to smell likev gas

My theory is, everyting with yellow blk wire, stays on for some reason.

Main relay staying stuck on thr on postion?
Engine harness?
Short in car?

I replaced:
Injectors
Ecu

Anything help?

will, i found out.

at the ecu harness, yellow/ blk ( 12+v ) was touching a black wire.

the black wire runs to a ground junctions which is brw/ blk.

so in results. i burnt out two ecu and my harness needs a rebuild or i need to track one down.

I had that happen on a car and it was a crankshaft position sensor. But in your case, fuck if I know

I got a few cel codes.

06 ect

20 eld

48 prime o2

54 ckf

I unpkugged the ckf and ect so i know those codes are from me.

The o2, i knew it was bad from day 1

Whats causeing my eld?

I ran the test and at on position ( motor off ) i have the same voltage as attery ( which is good )

Car idleing grn/ red wire, i have 4.6v. Normal is 4.5-v.

Car idling same test ^^^^ but with lights on. I get 2.6v which good cuz it needs to be less than base read (4.5-5)

Im stumpped

R&r engine harness w/ dx

Only codes it puked out was vtec and second 02

Vtec- i havnt wired up yet
2nd 02- probably bad or cuz i have a cat delete

I fired it up and drove around fine but noticed a lack in power.

I parked it and tried firing it up, but didn't.

My iavc still.staying on

I rechecked codes:

Evap high or low pressure.
Ect
Vtec
2nd 02

So i used a p28 w/ jumper

Codes i pulled are

Vtec
Eld ( electical load detector )

Now im here stumpped again on wtf

Why with an obd2 ecu my evap is bad?

Do dx have a soleniod on the fuel rail the runs to evap?

Most important, why wont the effin car start up after a short drive?

anyone

Im not sure i understand your issue but i think you have too much fuel? Fuel pressure regulator? Replace the harness i had a similar issue on my b16 checked everything and it ended up being the wiring harness. Maybe a bad relay though usually they fail mostly in the summer have you checked your injectors all of them?

sorry if i didn't put in lame terms but everything you mention, minus the fuel reg, i have replaced.

I R&R ( removed and replaced ) the hx harness with a dx.

i R&R the main relay
I R&R the fuel injectors and fuel rail
I R&R the ecus

so what happens is...

I wake up in the morning, i go outside and open the key to position II ( key on but engine off )
in Key II, the IACV is off and it starts up fine.
It will idle fine and warm up fine
It will drive fine.
I can drive down the block, let it idle or drive all the way to work ( 60 miles one way )
But as soon as its warmed up and I shut it off.... IT WILL NOT TURN BACK ON
I listen for a buzzing sound, and it will be my IACV that will stay on then
I will listen for the IACV buzzing, i will smell fuel.
so i disconnect the injectors, I will then crank it and the car will start right up and last untill all the left over gas will burn up.
I then connect the injectors back again and crank it, but no go.
I once again will disconnect the Fuel injectors and it will crank right up but, if i connect the injectors back again whilel the car is running on the left over gas, it will stay on.
I assume the engine is getting flooded
I will let the car sit and cool for about 4 to 8 hours and it will start up with no problem
Also i assume, something is getting hot, maybe .

now with the dx harness w/ ( with ) a p2p ( 96-98 civic ex ecu ) this are the codes i pulled

Evap high or low pressure. ( no clue why )
I have the evap canister hooked up, but i noticed, my hx harness also had a plug to a sensor on the fuel rail ( i think the evap soleniod ????) but the dx harness doesn't have the evap soleniod plug.

Ect ( no clue why )
tec ( not wired up yet )
2nd 02 ( maybe a bad sensor or cuz i have no cat )

I changed the ecu.

Dx harness w/ a p28 ( 93-95 civic ex ) ecu and a jumper harness ( obd2a-obd1 ) and the Codes i pulled are

Vtec ( not wired up )
Eld ( electical load detector and have no clue why that pull up when it didn't pull up with the p2p )

when did you buy hasport mounts? and you already had gnomes when you tried messing with an HX civic

you need to call after the new year when my brother gets back and he can explain how to fix your basket case

I got everything figured out and all is left is, a knocked sensor. And to wire it up since the hx don't use it u.

Everything was fine. She rode fine. I would be able to go to the store and start it up all good.

Friday it was fine, I go away for the weekend and got back. I turned it on to let it warm up normally and fine.

I went to put gas in it , it started fine. I drive about 15-30 mins and stopped. The car wouldn't turn back on.

I had to disconnect the injectors to burn the gas and heard my iacv on.

Now, I have no codes other than my knock sensor.

Could a bad ignition switch? Bad distributor?

Can a bad ect cause a no startt?

Can a bad ect cause a no startt?

Technically yes. If the sensor is giving a faulty reading that would indicate a very high temp back to the ecu then yes.

It was bad ect.

Now all I need is to get a cat or bypass the secondary o2 sensor.
