I was washin my car and then I went on to do the engine, I tried to avoid sprayin most of the water but when I was done I found this crazy idle. It will go down to like 800 then shoot up to a little over 1k then it will repeat.

you most likely got water in your distributer. pull the cap off and dry it the best you can.

it might also be a small vacuum leak or your IAC valve took a dump on your. VERY common occurence in hondas.

pull your spark plug cables .the tubes usually get flooded

check your dizzy. like pull the cap and make sure there is no water in there. then check all your plug wires. then make sure all your vaccum lines are still connected. if its not one of those then its most likely the thermal IAC. those thing are junk on hondas. i always take mine off and just make a block off plate. they are un necessary in az. and if you notice 99% of aftermarket ones dont have them or the place to put one!! good luck with the fix!

ok I pulled of the dizzy and there was no water in there, my battery was completely dead ut I got it recharged for free at autozone. while test driving it she was doin fine til some dick head in an SUV kept splashin my car with puddles and laughin so I chucked a 1/2 wrench at his passenger window leavin nothin but a big hole where the window was. i think it sucked up a little water so I took off the filter for my cold air intake and it was soaked so I yanked it off and now its dryin

But if you take off your IACV the engine wont idle high during warm up and it wont idle up when you turn the AC on so what do you do about this??
