I currently have the HFP suspension and I am looking to upgrade. I would prefer to have a softer ride. Anyone have any suggestions? Don't really need adjustiblility.

i have full coilovers. its the easiest and besy way to go imo. there are alot of nice full coilovers out there for the price of most strut/spring/camberkit combos out there.

It sure as hell isn't soft in my wife's car. In fact it is one of the roughest lowered cars I have riden in. Bleh, maybe it is the seats.

thats crazy. lol. Do you by any chance know the Spring rates of the HFP suspension on your wifes car? I would have never thought that HFP susp. would be near the firmness of any other after marker coilovers.

maybe I need to take you for a ride, then it might change your veiws on whats a firm ride, and whats soft lol.

well wait, who installed the suspension? came w/ vehicle? Dealer instaled? or you put it on?

Do some Tokico's and Progress Group springs.

If you reeeaaally want a 'softer' ride, get the gold Tein springs. They're called Luxury-somethingorothers...

Dealer installed. I was thinking about the Tein HTech, the gold ones. I was just seeing what other were recommending.

did you check to see if they f*cked up the install?

Jack up the vehicle and perform a visual inspection first, before you end up throwing money at a set-up that was wrongly installed in the first place.

look to see that the upper srtut mounts are in properly, that the top and bottom spring seats are in there correctly, and that there are no binding components that would cause an unusually hasrh ride. These are your first steps in NVH (noise, vinration, harshness) diagnosis.

this way you dont throw parts at a car only to find that it wasnt the thing you thought it was all along.

yeah it doesnt sound right. see if the struts are froze up. thats the only thing i can think of. i remember a 2000 civic coupe coming into my work with all stock suspension, it rode like shit and we found out all 4 struts were frozen up and werent even moving

i have 18s with 225's..... mine don't rub? is the offset wrong? are you lowered too much? that is weird cuz i got Tein basics and mine don't rub unless i was to take a speedbump at 95 or so! LMAO!

illusionsoflife

i believe its about a 42 offset....

you can get a more aggressive alignment to cure rubbing problems sometimes as well.

go with Progress full coilovers.... i used to have springs with the stock shocks and it looked great and the ride was really close to stock. ive heard great things about their full coilover system.

progress full coilovers are good for the amount of money. i would go with buddyclun n+ specs tho. they are under a g and are dope! i wish i got those instead!
