Yes but for another 400 you get the whole k-pro. if you only flash once do it, more than once anytime down the road just get kpro.

You can get ur ECU reflashed for $500. It's tuned for a CAI and Exhaust IRRC. If you don't plan on modding much more than that and DO NOT plan on a RH then it may be something to consider.
If you plan to mod more, at least I/RH/E, maybe forced induction or even all motor setups with upgraded IM, TB, Cams, etc then KPro would be worth it so that you can tune it to get the most out each mod. If you don't mind forking out the cash for each tune that is!

well it may be over a year before i can do any engine mods...so i may just do a couple bolt ons and then have it reflashed for those...

If you do I/H/E and the reflash you should be able to get your car into the 14's.

the reflash is not bad if u aint got the money for k-pro. and its a stepping stone to k-pro. pay 400-500 for the reflash rock it after u get mods, and when u plan to step ur game up go back and k-pro. for 450-500, plus tuning.

does anyone here localy install kpro?

EPthree04
03-25-2007, 06:52 PM
you have to send it to hondata. then they send your ecu back with it installed. i believe if you get it from someone they will only send it themselves. hondata themselves do not sell their products to the public.

Actually, I install them locally, as long as you know your ecu is in perfect working order. Turnaround time is about 2 days. I do them for $900 (retail is $1000).

joe@locashracing.com for more info.

A race header with just a reflash is notorious to make your car run lean, if you goin for a RH u need to use KPro or stick with the stock ECU!

i already have an intake and greddy evo 2 catback exhaust so the headder is the only thing that i really need now

I'm running a I/RH/E but I'm on the stock ECU, I dont trust a reflash, it'll run too lean with the Race Header! Check ClubRSX.com for the validity of what I'm telling u

what do you consider a "race" header?

He has a Jackson race header, the one that delets the cat.

A race header is gonna be any non-street legal header that deletes the catalytic converter. I'm on Jackson Racing's version. You can get a shorty header but from what I hear, is pointless b/c the gains are next to nothing....

I was reading up on the Hondata Reflash with I/RH/E, and actually it seems the 02-04 RSX-S models are appearantly safe to run the full combo. It's the 05/06 models that seem to have trouble running lean with Reflash +I/RH/E... just some food for thought

anything on the A3's?

i think this is all i am gonna do until i get a house....thats a little more important to me right now

Actually, I'm not 100% on a3's but from nosing around I've never seen anyone with a Base RSX having issues running lean so I dont see why an EP3 would! Check out the Hondata website lil bit and see if there are any warnings. I assume u'd be going with the k20 5speed reflash, so I'll look arounf clubrsx a lil bit for ya. really I think a CAI/RH/E plus a reflash would really bring a lot outta the a3!
