I'm more concerned about ending up dying a long drawn out and horribly painful death like being burned or eaten alive.

I don't think I'm scared of dying as much as sad...because while there are many horrible and repulsive things and events living and happening in this world, there is a lot of good in everything, so many things to be seen and experienced, joys to be discovered, what lies ahead for the future, what is going to happen to my children (if i ever have any) etc. I'm just sad that I'm never gonna be able to experience all of these things (duh nobody can experience EVERYTHING) but still...

death is really strange.

we in our seudo-christian based soceity look at death as an end of all ends. we then hope that our spirts go to heaven and we look down upon our family who is still living, and some how help and guide them.

other cultures celebrate death (they dont look to die) but have come to a much deeper understanding and acceptance of death. its a natural cycle, we are born, we live, then we die. to worry about something that you cannot control is a waste of energy. you just kinda go with things, and they will work themselves out.

i think this fear of death could be a manifistation (sp?) of something bigger. maybe you are fearing failure in your work or school life. maybe you are fearing money troubles and somehow you relate these to death. you may feel that if you fail at something your life is over and equate this to a sense of death. you need to be more opotmistic, and realize you can always come back from mistakes (some are just harder then others)

ya death blows in a way.. its weird to think about a point in time when you'll no longer exist. Like I think about all the people that have died.. we're living the days that they dreamed about living , yet to us everyday is just another day. To them these days are the ones that seemed futuristic and and unimaginable. I still have a fear of death

i love to watch shows on paranormal activities... ghost hunting etc..

knowing that one day im going to be a ghost and how im scared a shivers run up my spine just thinking about ghosts ....

its just a weird feeling knowing im going to be something im scared of some day..

and thats aside from my fear of death as it is....

I dont neccisarily fear death, I fear that once I am dead I will be forgoten, along with my thoughts my experiences and all my memories. This is where it really scares me the most. The only thing I can think to help me cope with the fear is that I try and live my short time here to the fullest and make my mark upon everyone and in time and try to not be forgoten. I am not religious in anyway so I dont believe in life after death so thats where all of me will end, thoughts memories and experiences.

P.S. Great thread, I lay around sometimes thinking about this.

She has had problems for years. 7 years and 10 doctors. There will probably be a HUGE malpractice suit. 2 of the doctors word for word told her "It is all in your head". So it really depends on how far it has spread.

i had these attacks where i thought i was just goin to stop breathing and that my heart was going to burst LOL but im kinda over it though.. ever since i went to jail i was like "well there just probably going to let me die i should just get over it!

and i did but i still think about it sometimes though it all started w/ this wack ass shit i smoked!!!! ~bad~

~question~ do u feel this way when ur not doing anything during the day just like sitting down and what not?

i only really thought about it when i was by myself..

is it worth worrying about? no not really but some people cant help it like my crazy ass mom for example she needs to take pills because shit freaks her self out! and goes into a panic attack!

its weird for me to talk about this because i tell everyone all the time and they tell me im fuckin crazy!! yea a little but its serious because i dont want it to take control over my life!

another easy way i got over it is everything i love.. my wify my car and my friends...

just take what i say into consideration and i have mad respect coming out like you are and just saying all this! lol thought i was alone!

its a faze some people go threw.. its happened to me before.. like in the six grade i wouldnt go anywhere alone because of the breathing thing!

one day like maybe a month or 2 ago i got really bad and thought i needed to goto the hospital.. i was like freaking my self out and would start to shake alot and like almost pass out!

not fun at all but i went to the doctor and they did all the crazy test.. and i was fine i was just letting my brain go crazy!

that made me feel 90% better when they told me i was ok!

i really hopes this helps because i feel ur pain and how shitty it made everything in my life feel! i had a really bad out look on life
