Building an H23-H22 to swap into an EG, I need help!
I have a complete H23 engine assembly from a 1995 Honda Prelude Si. I wanted to mount an H22 Head on to it and Turbocharge it.
What do I need, Where should I spend my money.
I have heard that the H22 head swap is difficult, but why?
Also I am putting this engine into an EG Hatch, so what do I need to do to fit it into the EG?

Please AZHT brothers, help me out!:hello:

Seach the prelude forums on honda-tech for the h23/h22 hybrid.

As far as putting it into an eg, its simple. I did it in my dc teg, no sweat. Search again on honda-tech for the best writeup, I believe 'poison' did it back in the day. he put one in his hatch, did a good job of illustrating it too

putting the h22 head isnt good on the h23 motor. for a little while it is, but the compression gets way to high... instead of being able to rev to 6800, you'll hit v-tec at about 4900-5100 rpms, you'll have to shift at like 5500... just get the h22 motor but keep the tranny from the h23 for the torque... or you can turbo the h23 til it blows up, then swap to the h22 and bolt on the turbo... that's what im in the process of doing myself... i could be wrong, but all the techs i work with at honda say that...

most honda techs fix stuff, not build them...honda says you cant rev a b20 to 9200 either, but guess what?
