I might be taking his car out in a couple of the DE4 sessions (if Jason says it's cool), but other than that, I should be free if anyone wants instuction, ride-alongs, or to stick me in their car on the DL to win TA. Bitter sweet for me too dude. I'm 99% sure I'm going to miss this event as well. My wife and I are expecting our 2nd child any day now. If she has it like "right now" there's a chance I could still make the event. If she doesn't though, I'll be in deep doo doo if she goes into a labor while I'm at the track and over an hour away, especially since BOTH her dad AND I would be there. One of has to be there and I have a feeling it will be me vs her dad. LOL!

Such as the red viper that completely got smashed by a bmw after being stationary for about 20 sec! Driver said he didnt see a yellow flag, but the worker said she/he threw out one! my guess is that even if she did, she probably didnt get it out fast enough!

whether the driver saw the flag or not.. 6 cars managed to get past the stopped car before the bmw slammed into the viper.. there was no excuse for what happened..

Yeah ... one problem with that track is that there is too much space between flag stations in that back stretch. When an incident happens back there, 5 or 6 cars could easily be close enough that they would never see a flag before they got to it, no matter how fast the flagger is. Also, I couldn't believe how long it took them to get safety workers to the drivers and to clear the cars. It was competely unacceptable IMO. Thank god nobody was hurt.

Edit: I'm not saying that nobody was at fault in this particular instance, I'm just saying that I think the track needs to make some changes to make it safer for all of us.

Yup. Event was huge due to it only being a saturday event (i usually do sundays only) so both groups were smushed together.

Poor dude in the miata came in to hott and smacked the tire wall to.

I had a fun time minus being stuck behind some black cobra who coudln't drive :(

Yeah .. Erik was right in front of Jay (M3) and said he waived his hands to let Jay know he was slowing down, so Jay should have brought it down a notch instead of attempting to pass (even if he hadn't seen the flag).

This should be a lesson to everyone though. If you spin and find yourself stopped on the track surface, get the hell off of it as soon as possible. If you can't get the car fired immediately, leave it in gear and ride the starter to get off of the track surface. That guy was facing the correct direction on the outside of the track. There is no excuse for just sitting where he was sitting for the amount of time that he sat there. Don't just assume that everyone will see you.
