That's why I want it. 160HP and great MPG, all in an EF? Yes please! I wouldn't be looking for balls-out performance, just a great stock-style swap. The 6-speed would add to the fun factor.

Yes i was using nitrous a 40 shot on a completely stock gsr in a four door that had full interior and a 4 people in it. while you were in a stripped out crx which had motor mounts that cost more then my whole car. but i like your car, its one of the few allmotor honda's i like.

yeah man....the a3 is sweet for gas, although slow in my heavy ep3....so the crx would be a good mate for it, considering the torque you could pick up vs. what the em1 si would give you.

but....ive been doing some reading on ephatch.com about matching the 6spd up with it, and i was told you lose power from it because the way it is geared.

not knowing the truth in this.....just be careful when if and when ya go do this buddy

A different transmission, no matter how differently geared, won't make you "lose" power in anyway, but can make your car slower in the 1/4. An A3 and a 6spd with a raised rev limiter is fine.

Depends. My ITR tranny uses the 4.7 FD, and with my 22" slicks it's fine, but if I had the 5.0 FD and the 22" slicks i'd probably spin the slicks. I honestly wouldn't go with the 5.0 FD unless you have a motor that can rev to 9500 RPM or more.

And I wouldn't ever choose the 5spd over the 6spd, unless you had a built 2.4l that was boosted to hell.

We have had several examples of decently modded K24's using the 6spd and even though you have to shift to 5th (I do too) in the 1/4, they still end up being faster.
