My car runs race gas, has full interior, full exhaust, nice paint, nice wheels, etc...yet some pos 89 crx thats all cut and gutted, on 13" steelies and open header thats trying to break 13's ( that runs pump gas because theres no need for anymore on a stock b16 lol) is more streetable? I have seen honda's make 550whp on pump gas, high 600's on pump/meth injection and 700whp on e85 (also pump gas)...No reason you can't drive on racegas all day everyday if you want..

Streetable car IMO = :

titled and insured
has interior from front seats forward
oem gas tank
runs on gasoline
retains factory uni body
all glass remains (no lexan)
must have hood/bumpers, all body panels
all lights must remain

Im sure theres more i can think of but pretty much the regulations for NHRA SFWD, which has a minimum weight of 2450lbs..

i dont know where the rules are, but i consider a "street car" a car you can go to any gas station and pump your gas, and go and still push numbers. so IMO i would not consider a car that has to drive to the track to get gas, or drive 20 miles away for some race gas at the pump.

I think race gas is fine, and is nitpicking at this point. In my musclecar days, we ran a street legal 2wd blazer, running in the ET street class with a 540CID supercharged motor, on race gas at the track, and 91 octane if it was driven around town, there are no rules in any street legal class, as long as it gasoline, and not another tye of fuel

i can put wheelie bars on a go cart!! that doesnt make it a race car. it had full interior and power windows still. it was a complete insight except for the insight motor and it had a 1 piece fiberglass front end on it. it had an ls/vtec turbo. it could have been driven on the street very carefully! lol

Well, Rudys car went 10.80s (stripped), Robins current has gone 11.20s (FULL interior Si) while his last turbo hatch went 11 flats (FULL interior on shit ass suspension).. Rudy drives his on the street fairly frequently, and Robin drives his DAILY. Indub I'm sure is driven fairly frequently, if not daily, and he goes what, 11.0s, 11.1s... These aren't "race" cars, these are true street trim monsters..IMO

I went 7.2 @ 106.9 in the 1/8th, which was my best and cut low 1.7 sixtys.. just wish i could have got it in 4th.

not sure if its still around (doubt it) but i would say the blue insight that RMF built...it was kinda built to street class rules.

That car is actually still around. It has just had a lot of work done to it. It went 9.90's before, and now has more power and better suspension. Still full glass, interior, power windows, liscensed, etc. No longer has a one piece front. Actually has an s2000 front end.
