10w30 is Honda recomended.

But during high AZ summers, no, 10w40 is ok to run, and still be safe. some use it on older Honda motors to make up for lost clearances.

dude, its a honda, it can run on anything, including juice, water, and maple syrup.

I thought it was 5w30 that was recommended by Honda? I think thats what it says on my oil cap.

HAHAHA! I accidentally bought a CASE of the wrong oil, butthey wouldn't take it back, and I REFUSE to waste that much money, so I've been running 20w50 for the past 6 months!!!! Oil psi is fine, top end still looks good. It's a d15 with like 150k on it. I figure, what the hell right? NTS, in the new B16 we're using Valvoline Racing 20w50. Good oil. I know it's whorish to do, but we run it in all our race motors and it's been wonderful to us.

no... but when ur car gets over 160K i believe it is ok to run 20-50... i run that on anything that burns a little oil, if it burns more than a quart in a month i go to 20-50, but i beat on my cars, just make sure u warm it up b4 u beat on it :)

Ya I run the ca rprett yhard as well, and an the new motor I'm running stock bearing clearances, but the car is going to see a fair amount of track time, and hot/cold/hot/cold is pretty hard on motors, so I'd rather keep oil in the top end a little longer if poss when I shut it down, hence thicker oil.
