Hahahha, those numbers are accurate, I'll try to find the link again.
:offtopic: Motors not too shaby. I was getting a idle issue worked out this morning but all seems fine now. There's still power to be pulled out of it.:p I'm 95% sure I'll be at the track Fri night.:offtopic2:

We didnt go all crazy, just made sure the A/F was okay throughout the RPM's. It hit 210whp and 150tq.
When all's said and done, I think it'll go 220 and 160.

First off....thanks!!
Second, all the info I've been reading puts the D series right around 270 pounds with trans. Numbers probably not dead on, but pretty damn close.

To my knowledge a B16 checks in about 70lbs heavier than a D16.

A D-Series trans weighs about 65-70 pounds. A D-Series longblock weighs about 190-200 pounds.
Without fluids, of course.

ok so the reason i ask is i'm trying to figure the power to weight ratio comparing these too. how much of a difference the lighter motor compared to the heavier is gonna be.
you the think like the 70 + lbs is gonna make a big difference? i know it will make a difference. but will it be a lot?

WHATEVER the difference in weight between a B16 and D16 is, it is enough that Progress Group made 2 different drop springs for not swapped and B-swapped Civic's.

ok... ummm... i guess my question comes down to power to weight.
i understand that there is a difference and not very interested in the exact poundage.
a 200whp single cam vs a 200whp dually. sohc < dohc
but i mean i interested in how much a difference when u get to some like 200whp single cam and a 250whp dually.
not the exact numbers but just to give an idea of what i am looking for in terms of what the difference will be with the less weight.
