will a brand new set of 225 45 r 17 tires go on a set of wheels that have 205's on them ???and how bad r they gonna look??? thanks in advance.. oh going on a 94 -96 accord.. am i gonna rub or ne thing? the car is not lowerd if it is then not much...

how wide is the rim?
what is the offset?

the 255 is only the height, so you dont really gain that much, you should not have any problems, unelss you are already close with the 205s

255 is width, but narrow rim will give the effect of height as it's forced to have more sidewall.

that makes no sense though? how would 255 be the width? if 45 is smaller? god i hate this shit lol, i'm goin back to lifted trucks, a lot easier with somthing like 44x14.50 lol, pretty simple

lol 225-width in mm, 45-height a %, 17-whl dia inches, the height is actually a percentage of the width

just clarify, 45 = % of first number (225 in this case)

If you have stock wheels, 225 is gonna be too wide. Stock wheels are usually 6.5 inches wide. If you go 225, then get a wheel that is 7.5 inches wide. 225 might not fit on an accord, it may rub on the inside.

my friend had 225/45's on some 17X7's on a DC teg and it looked great. and didnt rub either. but he was only lowered about an inch
