My cousin has a DA (b16, apexiSAFC, aftermarket head unit) and and his battery light started to turn on randomly.
Last night he was pulling up to his apartment and the car just died @ the gate. Then this morning the car wouldn.t start. Never left lights on or anything that would drain it.
Did battery check @ autozone. his Redtop Optima was bad-but we switched my battery into his car and it started up again. Drove it this morning and the BATTERY LIGHT still GOES ON UNDER 3k rpms.

He asked me to post cause he.s @ work right now but he.ll check this post when he gets off. Anyone had this problem?

something might be wrong in the alternator( charging circuit).....its not charging the battery.....
connections, wires, diodes, regulator, fuses , or maybe the belt is loose or not connected... etc....

Go to Autozone and have them do a load test. Should indicate what's bad. If the alternator is not charging at full capacity, you will eventually kill the battery.

^2. they will use the "minute man".... it will check if ur alternator is good( diodes, regulator )

this happened to my integra, and it was my alternator, i put a new one, and BAM . it went away, the more rpms, the faster the alternator belt spins, and the more it spins, the more power it gets, so when its spinning slower, its not getting enough power. btw. putting on an alternator is a bitch on an integra.. i did it however. so it is possible in your very own garage.

sounds like your alternator is going out man. But it is also very common for batteries to go out as soon as it starts to heat up. have it checked out for free at autozone or checker

He.ll probably get in touch with you. He might also need some work done to pass emissions so let him know what you can do or refer him to some place you guys trust. He.s had bad luck with mechanics in the past.

Thanks guys
