Honestly, it's all relative. When I hear how much some of my European friends are paying for gas, I can't really complain.

I don't drive a lot now so I am on the saving end. Spend like $10 on gas that will last me two weeks.

Slow down and you will make that 25 to possibly close to 30 and save some $.

Gas prices are getting rediculous, I put in $16 today and got under half a tank. :(

My fillup is only like 25-30 dollars and im going over 300 miles on that. I guess I cannot complain too much. I am SO happy I didn't buy a truck or something.

One of the reasons gas is so expensive...

There is only one refinery processing and making summer blends of gasoline. As the summer is upon us.. demand for that gasoline is a bit more... and since it's the only refinery making it... well... supply and demand. You figure it out.

Gas prices always skyrocket at the beginning of summer.. this isn't anything new.

lol... but considering we have basically created our own little "reservoir" of oil in iraq... we should see SOME price decreases... i mean, thats kinda y we went there... even tho no one is admitting it

My friend has a Hummer. I asked him about gas mileage and he said he didn't know nor did he care and then followed it up with a great/true quote, "If you have to worry about gas mileage then you can't afford a Hummer!"

The dude's 2 week commission check is more than I made in a year when I first started working full time so it's not like he cares what things cost. Fucker! :-)

The other day I filled up my Civic at the pump with 100 octane as well as my two 5 gallon jugs. I thought it was funny that my credit card only allowed $100 per transaction at the pump. LOL

Oh and my new job is across the street so I just ride my bike there. I have a feeling the gas is going to go bad before I have to fill up again. Seriously, I filled up about 3 weeks ago and the needle still shows at the full mark!

did guys know that for every $3 we spend in one gallon of gas, $1 is wasted through heat energy.

its like throwing $1 bill out the window while driving......

HAHAHAHA!!!! Check this out, my Civic, being driven at WOT all the time (not really, but hypothetically speaking), get's like 27 MPG. That's on 87 octane cheap shit. Then there's the truck; 6 MILES PER GALLON of and $4.85-a-gallon-110-octane-kill-me-in-the-face-gas!!!!! I built a 16 gallon tank for it. You do the math...Needless to say, I drive the truck all of once a month!

not all of the fuel delivered in the combustion ,push the piston down.
about 60%, i think, is used efficiently and the rest is just wasted in heat.......m lost.
im in class.....

Yup. Only about 60%-70% of the fuel in our tank actually makes us go. The other 30%-40% is lost through heat exchange.

sweet... i making a trip up the bay in may :(

yea i pay about 30 beans to fill up the ek and am getting about 330 per tank.

i had a question tho. i was averaging 300 a tank put in an intake and was doing about 330 and i go get gas at costco now, and i am averaging about 10-15 more miles per tank? y? i drive the same n all. costco gas ftw!
