What up, so my DA got stolen, however I am going to be procuring a car through a dealership connection I have, and would like to get a GSR, obviously a type r if one is around, but is there a best year for the GSR? I really like this car as a platform to build on, and I am just looking for some insight...thanks

94-95 IMO because they're OBD-1.

you also gotta keep in mind that everything on that car is more than 10 years old.

I would get a newer one. You can always convert to OBD1, but newer ones come with the immobilizer. Not a HUGE deal, but it's just another bump in the road for potential thieves.

You also have the chance of finding one in better condition (original owner even), leather interior, sexy front end, all red tails etc. Thats just my .02 though..

um... wtf at your avatar... and I'd say newer with less milage... converting to obd1isn't hard at all... & newer/lower milage=worth more $$$$

Any year can be good or bad it just depends on how the person before you maintained it.

the reason people want obd1 is you can chip the ecu's and tune your car very easy.

obd2 you cant.

but its very simple to convert.

if i ever got a gsr i would try to find one of those purple gsr's they only make in 2000.
