I agree we could spew out numbers all day long and you can still run a faster or slower time. In racing and gettin times its 80% driver and 20% car.

not to sound like a dick. why choose a H powerplant? wouldnt a b18 be a better choice for reliability, buildability and duarbility. correct me if im wrong tho.

04-16-2007, 02:30 PM
that not really saying much tho. h22's have much more torque then a LS/vtec. what were trying to say is that an h22 isnt the best platform. its pretty much you swap it in and thats it. no FI, i dont think you can get high compression pistons for it. but take a b18, endless possibilties.

I don't agree with everyone saying there's no potential, I had an AEBS fully built for turbo JDM H22, and that thing was sikkk.. It was kinda slow without boost, but that motor was made to handle like 45 psi or some crazy shit..

GL Mike, send me pics, or swing by, I wanna see it..

g/l man. you'll be maybe low 15's without nitrous on street tires, probably bust a decent 14 though with a 75 shot :) possibly some 13 action with some slicks!

keep in mind, h22's aren't a huge fan of nitrous stock so be careful!

go race it and let us know!

specs i think are for the euro R as they were told on the web

H22A7 4 cylinder DOHC VTEC
Bore x Stroke (mm) 87 x 90.7
Compression ratio 11
212 hp @ 7200 rpm
2157 cm3, 96 hp per litre
215 Nm (159 lb/ft) @ 6700 rpm
Redline (rpm) 7500

weight for a DA is 2337 lb

according to a calculator....remember this is just a guess and how good the driver is...all motor the car should run a clean

12.963936054727447 as this is wheel hp and this is flywheel hp-13.664201464763133 in 1/4 mile.....Gl campbell....

Hansel651
04-17-2007, 10:13 PM
its 11.1 yeah...
and the cool thing about it is it should differ with the 2.5 stroker kit

Hansel651
04-17-2007, 10:14 PM
Da should weigh less with c/f hood ad c/f trunk...and no backseats...im not big on sound systems so dont expect that from me lol Thanks owens

i have high copression pistons in my h22a, MAHLE goldseries, 11.5:1 good stuff. and H22's are good for boost becuase of the closed deck head design, most people sleev it though becuase they think the clynider walls will buckle under the boost, but the cylinders walls of an H22 have a carbon rienforcing built in. H22 is a very good motor, plus its kindda rare compared to a B-series, pluss the S2000 motor is based on the H22
