ummmm. i've never heard of it bein done. i dont know if it would even be worth it, you can swap in a k20a2, z1, z3 and put the remainder you saved into that motor. would like to see more info on it tho, if it can be done and who did it.

it has been done into other honda chassis...EG and EK i believe.

But not in a EP3.

Not worth the money when a Built or Boosted K series will make as much or more power than the F20c.

it was done to an EP3 over in Virginia. Course by the time it was done, it was not so much an EP3 anymore. So much cutting. ltosa nissan parts to :)

wow! any links on that? i would rather put the money into something more practical. you can get an s2k and modd the hell out of it for the money you spend on converting an ep3 to rwd and all that.

i dont think people realize that ... the K series is a BETTER motor than the F20/F22

It is similar in Head design with gives them both great flow characteristics, but the K has VTC which allows alot more tuning flexability.

Mod them both the same and the K will make more power.

Leave your poor EP3 alone, lol....just put a k20a or k24a2 in it.

here is an F20C in a dc/eg chassis....custom everything, motor mounts, tranny adapter plate to run a K20 tranny.....

the F20/22C will take more punishment and take more power than a K20 will so which motor is really better? The F20/22 bottom end is entirely forged, the K20 is not. The K series probably does have a nicer powerband (ie low and mid) due to i-vtec though. Also, the F head flows more as proven on a flow bench.

I think the real reason K's make more power NA is because the S2000 aftermarket isn't near as big, seeing as how a good majority of people who owned S2000s were the older crowd who kept them as weekend cruisers. The K20 also came in a much cheaper car, so there are many many more out there. The S2000s have dropped in value to be attainable by the younger "tuner" crowd now so you should see a lot more mods coming soon. I know hytech is starting to create parts for the car, quoting they will make 300whp with there cams, ITB, header, and other mods.

Another big advantage the K has is its programmable ECU, the S2000 ECU cannot be reprogrammed except for the 06-07 model.

Having said this though, I would swap the K instead, not worth the hassle for the F20/22

eh.

i dont know about that. i dont think the f20c has forged internals, but i could be wrong.

and i HIGHLY doubt hytech will make 300+ n/a ... maybe on Church automotive's "modified" dyno.

And the S2000 does have a programable ECU for ALL years now. Hondata just released it. It requires a RSX ecu w/ kpro, and a custom wiring harness from hondata to run it. Now what does that tell you, lol. you have to run a K series ecu on a s2000 to get the most power out of it, lol.

read the spec sheet from Honda on the engine, it has forged rods, pistons, crank. this is fact, I'm not spewing bs.

Hytech says they are shooting for 300whp, we'll see. Even if they get close it will be impressive.

The S2000 does not come with a programmable ecu from the factory like a RSX, you have to spend $2000 to make it programmable with the hondata kit you are speaking of. You may as well just throw a AEM on it for cheaper at that point. Why they didnt make it the same as the RSX ECU is beyond me...

i hear ya.

s2000's are tight either way. good to knw they have forged internals, never knew that before.

and as for ecu, yeah AEM would be cheaper.

Larry from endyne made 390 hp N/A with a s2k motor...
and so far no street legal K swapped car has gone as fast as a stock bottom end /stock suspension s2k has gone
