some manuals tell you to remove the driver side axle....
not sure if there are any shortcuts, because i never change one before.....

ya. just fucking move the motor a little bit, i used a 4 foot pry bar, pryd the engine back a little, and pulled it through.

ya its a pain. the hardest part is taking off the mount braket, not that hard. i used a breaker bar to get the bolts loose.

ya, you have to (easy way in a DA) get a long pry bar, put it behind the tranny, and in front of the back crossmember thingy. than while one person pulls the engine forward. someone else is undereath wiggling that bitch out. and make sure he holds it tight so that you can get the new alternator back in. thats the easiest way that worked for me . imo i diddnt really want to fuck with axles and all that bull shit.

huh wow. i had a b series in my ef and i just pulled it out over by the thermostat. simple as that. right over the rear mount braket. im positive there is less room in the ef to.

yes sir but once the alternator is out you can throw it around behind the motor to either siode. i chose to just pull it out about the passenger rear mount. easy as that. for next time anyway.
