CF Trunk or Stock...

So I've been debating about this recently. I love the way it looks, but to start off the CF one I purchased was damaged. I had a friend fix it up for me, still not near perfect but way better than how it was. So that's one issue. Another is whenever I open it it sometimes gives me problems on shutting it. I had to modify the latch to get it to latch down.

I wouldn't mind getting a brand new one as long as it doesnt give me the same problems. But at times I debate about swapping the OEM one back on.

Thoughts?

as far as the roof goes, i dunno, i was never really fond of that, dont really think it'd make much of a difference.

one thing i completely forgot to mention. after a few times of opening the trunk, recently to fix my subs/amp, the work that was done to fix the cracks in the clear are starting to reappear. and the fitment isnt the greatest, i figured that's how they all are, although I have seen some that have fit almost damn near perfect. I dunno, I guess buying a brand new one might rid me of my dislike i have to it right now.

just wanted to get some feedback from others.

what a dillemma! u go the cf hood and matchin cf trunk..and it looks really good. but on the other hand u cant beat an OEM fitting part. personally, i think cf trunk lids are over rated. go OEM!

Dammit Freddy, you put me in a bind....why did I even open this thread? lol. That's one tough decision, for the fact that I loveeee how the c/f looks on your car; but oem fitment is nice too. Ugh, I think I am going to stick with carbon as my choice.

thanks everyone. for the time being im goin to stick it out with the CF. eventually i'll try to find a new VIS trunk that hopefully has better fitment. Seems like CF trunks always, on any car, have fitment issues. Oh well. :) Maybe if I decide to do a color change I may go back to OEM everything, hood & trunk.
