If you are using the stock gsr manifold you may have to "modify" the firewall. Skunk 2 manifold works better.

You need to buy a B16A or Skunk2 intake manifold.

The B18C intake manifold was not designed to clear a 1988-1991 civic firewall.:)

wrong! the B16a manifold will not fit on a GSR head! the skunk2 mani for a gsr will work fine!

It gives you a good reason to step up to a better manifold. "If you have to replace it, you may as well upgrade". When I did mine I bored out the throttle body and ported the manifold too. It was a nice little addition.

well yeah i know that. but it doesnt bolt right on. and after buying the manifold then having some one fab it up (if he cant do it himself) might end up costing more and will deffitnately be more of a pain in the ass!! but good point!! lol

Well explain to him how you installed a B18C into a ef Civic. I thought the B18C intake manifold would not clear the firewall. I don't work on old Civics.
