I took my GF for our second date. It's the most amazing thing I've ever done, and it's over in 60 seconds...

You have to get your Accellerated Freefall License to jump alone.

Even if you take the 8 hour class, two people will jump by your side to ensure you don't forget to pull your ripcord.

Tandem is about 150ish and usually they will over an extra 1K feet for 10-20 bucks.

The class is about $300 but it includes 8 hours of instruction.

The AFF course requires about 12 jumps each having their own little "lesson" for you to learn.

Even after completion you have to jump alone before you can go our with a group. I belive 25 is the mark where you can go with others.

Jumps get cheaper as you go as less instruction is required.

I had to make jumps in the Marines about a dozen times. A few of them at night and in the air above Yuma. Its not fun. I fuckign hate heights and jumping out of the back of a C130 at 10,000+ with 150lbs of gear, weapons and respirator equipment, into pitch blackness is probably the most terrifying thing I have ever done in my entire life. I seriously almost shit myself, pissed myself, and threw up all at the same time.

Even by the time I did my last jump....I wasnt used to it, and I still hated it. LOL

lol the jump didn't scare me. It was my feet dangling a mile above earth when the chute opened that turned my stomach.

Goto Sky Dive Arizona. Its in Eloy and well worth it. The prices are about the same, I think I paid $160 but they offer group discounts. The best part about it is that you jump for 15k, thats 10k of free fall. Its something like 50 seconds of free fall.

I'm down, as long as I'm not strapped to someone when I jump.

Mid-air reach-arounds are not my thing.
