Can't go wrong with Honda MTF.

you dont have to run a special additive for the lsd

No, the Honda MTF is just fine. BG Synchro Shift is the SH*T! Does very well and is race proven, may want to consider that as well.

there's a bolt on the passenger side of the tranny that fits a 3/8" socket drive. Undo it and drain the fluid. Then, get a long bendy funnel and take out your Vehicle Speed Sensor, located on top of the tranny, and fill her up. I believe a b-series tranny takes like 1.8 or 1.9 quarts.

^^actually there is a bolt that is right next to the passenger side axle and you will fill it until it starts dripping from that filler point. If you fill it from the Speed sensor you might over fill it. and a dry b series tranny takes 2.5 qaurts MTF

Correct, use the fill plug not the VSS port. Additionally make sure the car is level and not jacked up in the front. Failure to do so will result in not enough fluid in the tranny which will fry 5th gear and/or the syncro.

Only clutch pack racing diffs require different fluid. ITR, OBX, Quaife all use Honda MTF. People have good success with GM Syncromesh or other thicker fluids. If the tranny is working properly you don't need anything thicker than Honda MTF. Thicker fluids may cover up a slightly "grind" but you're also loosing power to the wheels due to running fluid with more friction.

4-speed's don't have a 5th so I'm a-ok. :rflmao:

Generally $20/quart or so.

Hey Tage, why not use the VSS port? Its so easy to get the fluid in through there

Just use honda's new MTF.

I'm sure you can fill it there but just make sure that plug is left off so you don't over fill it.

Yeah of course, but is there anyother reason not to use the VSS port?
