Engine Code 3 Map Sensor Problem! *Help*

My engine is putting out a MAP Sensor Code. I replaced it with a working MAP Sensor and still throwing the code. My car is also eating alot of gas and also when I goto shift the car has a lil backfire and shoots out a puff of smoke.... Anyone have an idea??

well if the sensor is good, then check the wires, and connectors that goes between the ECU and MAP sensor

you probably have a cross short from VREF to your Signal Return circuit.

and I can bet that you have a lack of power from normal conditions, along with smelly exhaust.

better fix this quick, or your Catalist and O2 sensor is next to go.
