My friend got an offer for a 2006 Civic LX for $9,500 but it's an auction title, should he buy it?

Dont take this to the bank but I think it might mean it was repoed or convinscated by the police and sent to auction? Either way thats a good deal and auction sounds better than salvaged or recoverd.

Yeha it means the police were involved somehow... mine was a repo'd vehilce from a drug runner, and auctioned for 3k bucks.

Arizona wont recognize it as clean until its registered someplace else, cleaned up there, then brought back (i did mine in NM)

Hallo. Quick question is it easy to resell cars with auction titles ? ? Are auction titles bad? Is it just as bad as a salvage title ?

I THINK a car is given an Auction Title when someone takes their car to one of those Title Loan places, and once gets the loan, he/she doesn't pay. Then the loan place comes and collects the car and transfers the car title into an "Auction Title" when it is sold to a car auction. I defenitly know that a car title can become a auction title once it is confiscated by the state and put up for auction.
