Just like the post reads I need help trying to decide which swap to do. I a Del Sol si with a
D16z6 and want to swap either a B18c or H22 I have prices for complte swaps and there is only 200 dolars difference. so with that said I am open to suggestions. THANX

i would go with the GSR swap personally. parts are alot easier to find and the engine is also not as heavy as the H22. the trans has better ratios than the H and they are real easy to pull so decent HP numbers out of them!!

more ponies means shit if u add weight :)

both have their potentials.

i've seen mean H and B series.
B is just easeir in a sol :)

An H22a compared to a D-series is a 120 lbs. I was told that B16 swap weighs 60 more than D16, b18c swap 80 more than a D16.

leave it stock, just maintain it.

but with a h in your engine bay it's all tight and shit and with a b you still got room in the bay

GSR u cant go wrong with honestly... :)

and you can theoretically keep your A/C n such if you do a B as well, its a pain in the ass to do that with an h :(

Or with an H he could get an H2B adaptor plate, run a B16 tranny and have one monster of a stock motor.

I still say go with the B though. It's a pretty direct swap and can be done using OEM del sol VTEC parts

Yeah but those kits aren't exactly cheap and the H will be huge in the del sol bay. I say go with the B series. Get some cams, and valve train and a tune.

do b-series, i like to be one of the few with and H series... i like to go out of the norm and not do what everyone else does.

i use to own an H in a car that deserved a B-series... i would go b if i were you.. the H hangs low so you'll smack it and it also goes through axels and distributers like crazy.. so if i were you i would go b-series cuz the repair and parts are a lot more easy to come by.
