Symptoms of detonation

ok i wanna know the signs n symptoms of detonation are.
Iheard it happens do to runin low octane on an engine dat should
be ran on higher octane. dont know if im sufferin from it,let me know.

Bad detonation will sound like a can of marbles in being shaken up

When your on it hard, the car sometimes will hesitate, you'll probably hear some strange sounds.

Mild detonation is harder to detect.

B18C with proper timing and 91 octane should have no issues (provided spark is good etc etc).

i like to think of it as more of river rocks going threw your intake.

:but: elevation can make a difference too... but 91 is fine for us "high elevation" folk
