ctr pistons on gsr rods?

they will fit fine but your compression will be outrageous. unless you wanna run race gas all the time and you have the funds to get a Perfect tune. then id say go with ITR pistons.

JDM CTR 13.09
JDM ITR 11.59
USDM ITR 11.04
USDM B16 11.28
JDM B16 11.50

so id say go with any of the others i have listed rather than the CTR's but thats just my .02

PR4 pistons in a gsr would be 9.49. lol. damn i dont know why more people dont do that!! or even P61 pistons which are the B17 piston. completly lat top piston. that would put at 10.04. thats perfect for a boosted GSR street car!!

Badchkn did that and made a ton of power...it lasted forever until his vaccuum line popped off his waste gate and boosted like 30 lbs lol

yeah thats what imma do with my B17. it will take the compreassion down to 9.04:1 and imma run prolly12-14 psi

im running ctr pistons on my gsr and its perfectly fine...doesnt detonate or ping...not even tuned just running a spoon chip

its more around 12 1/2.... http://www.zealautowerks.com/ ...ive had this setup for almost 2 years...never had problems...been on the bottle a few months now 2 ..compression is still perfect...just gotta run colder plugs

either zeal autowerks is broken or you missed something. A B18C1 with CTR slugs = 13.09:1 compression ratio. You would need some nasty cams to lower that compression.

Unless you're talking about a B17 then it would be 12.47:1

talkin about gsr...well whatever the exact compression is, my gsr with stock cams runs perfect with ctr pistons...ive taken my head off plenty of times already and pistons,walls,valves look pretty good to me

i htink it would run better with a B16 head. B16 head on a Gsr with CTR pistons would put the compression at 12.74:1. which would be alot better if your runing pump gas! i say just get a good tune bro and your car will run alt better. but you will need race fuel!

pm tweek (novtechere). he'll give you a good price. its a street tune but i have heard nothing but good things bout his tuning capabilities
