Okay, so tomorrow I have two finals, one for Biology 100 and one for Religions 321 (ASU) In biology I have a B+ and in religions I have a B.

Some facts:

I am at work right now and will be here all night.
These two finals are like 20% of my grade for each class.
I don't really care about doing really well on them, I just want to keep my B's.
If I don't study at all for them I will probably get somewhere from a C- to a C+ on each depending on sheer luck and/or peeking at my neighbor.
If I spend all day studying today, I might do marginally better, might get A's on them, but probably not better enough to notice in terms of my final grade.

What would YOU do in this situation?

the more credit hours you have the less grades affect your overall GPA which is all that really matters.

if you already have more then 90 hours then it is nearly impossible to change your GPA + or - by more then .3

i always do horrible on my finals, and plus if you already have a B and its only 20% you would need to fail it to drop it to a C, 80% of your grade is locked in at about 80-85%, you would need to do really really bad for that 20% to drop it down to a 79%...

its your grade, i would just look over the material and get a good sense whats going on, then you'll be good.

that is the kind of reasurance i'm looking for. i suck at studying and really depend on my performance during the year to carry me through finals.

i just am bad at math so i don't really know how doing shitty on tests affects me. i usually just :blunt: up the night before and try to chill out and not worry about it. :p

Really, if you have a million credit hours completed, don't bother and keep your B's in the classes. This semester, I have got the grades i want in each class before the final, so all I need to do is get C's so I can keep them. I should be studying for finals right now, but i said fuck it and am swapping a steering wheel instead :P

If it weren't for marijuana (or ritalin) I would Not be able to pass any of my chemistry classes.

Thanks for all the money you give me!!! If it weren't for you I'd be robbing people.

On a related note, it's ok to be a straight B student ain't it!!!! My dumb bitch ass advisor said I should be shooting for A's! B for best effort, A for A-holes!

B's aren't too bad. It depends on the class your taking.

I just flip through notes and the textbooks briefly (like 30 minutes or less) before the class starts. That method has landed me with A's on all of my Psych. tests (covering 3 chapters a piece). I'd say a bit of studying never hurt anyone.

On the topic of studying. I wouldn't go too crazy with it if you already know the material. If not, you aren't going to learn it by tomorrow haha. Just brush up on it at least, I feel where you are coming from with the finals ordeal. :(

good advice. that.s what I do- if you haven.t learned it by the time finals come up you really aren.t going to learn it overnight.

thankfully I have nothing but art classes- so no finals!!

good luck though

Basically you're cramming and that shit don't work (maybe depends on the subject). Tried it myself.

Biology 100 is easy (mostly basic stuff) plus you have a B+ in that class. So I am guessing you need atleast a C/D on the final to keep the B+. Unless you want an A to get your GPA up more.

If you have a B- in Religon I suggest you start studying for that b/c a C on the final could probably drop your grade to a C.

I have my finals in a week and a half; been studying for it since Monday.

well i took that MGT test...my pencil broke so i had to fill in the last 32 questions with just the stick of .05mm lead...that broke, so i was using just a sliver of the .05mm lead...i should get extra points for "degree of difficulty"...

Voted.

I hate that finals are worth so much, I also hate it when professors make it cumulative. Most of them in my upper division courses havent been that way though

the best thing to do is to start studying early and review little by little each day with notecards. then not only are you already somewhat familiar from writing all the notecards you have a whole easy way to study fast by memorization
