which one of these headers would you pick? Dc 4 into 1 or a comp tech 4-2-1 one piece header? into a type R motor.

Both headers are very nice in terms of quality.
I'd pick the Comptech over the DC just because I know the comptech is stainless but if they were both stainless, I'd pick the one that is cheaper or the one that is in better shape.

depends on what you are trying to do with your engine package... JDM DC 4-1 has a true 2.5" collector. that can be advantageous (namely for the price) depending on the kind of power band your looking for. I say goto honda-tech--->search--->"header test" lots of good things will pop up. Team-Integra (http://www.team-integra.net/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=10&TopicID=70812) still has the dyno pics from the titan motorsports header shoot out. Its a cluster F but well worth the read.

Yeah thats true but the op didn't say if the DC was the jdm 2.5" version or not. If the header in question was in fact the jdm version I would go with that one.

4-1 headers are for mid range top end gains, 4-2-1 headers are for low to mid range gains.

Hytech does make some crazy power with there headers when the car is tuned. If you can afford it.

If you want a great header, don't go with either of those.

What do you mostly race? Drag racing or autocross?

i say go RMF if you can affod it. but if your running a stock type R engine then just run the stock JDM type R 4-1 header!!

you wont see much gain with the DC or the comptech... the type rone is just as good. i mean you could get one justto say you have one, but i dont think DC has very good quality stuff. like he said do an RMF os SMSP, done mess around with crap, waste of money

Go with Hytech, SMSP, or Bisimoto....all great products that make power.
