i got a used cat converter to pass emmissons from a beaner junkyard one time for 30 dollars and they even installed it.

it uses platinum cuz when the exhaust molecules heat up, they become attracted to the platinum due to polarization... or i think thats the case lol

but yes, they do have platinum, and i guess it is a main reason y they work

You can call ED'S CATS AND METALS 602-363-2786 and he will go pick them up. He pays the more than most of them. I buys wrecked cars sometime and get the cat recycled and it almost pays for the car.

I highly doubt it for 1 i can go buy a brand new high flow cat from Allied Exhaust for $40 so your saying my $40 cat converter is worth gold. Dont see how or every tweeker on the block would be stealing cat converters rather than aluminum radiators.
2- its illegal to sell used emissions controlled devices so maybe they hike the price up so if they get caught they have something to fall back on.
3-ive never heard of any place buying used cats but if you find one let me know i probably have 15 of them laying around.
