Don't do it. You are lowering the value of your Integra. Your brakes will not work as good.

I personally feel ABS is worth keeping.

I did it and they honestly work better lol. Then again i have several brake upgrades that utilize a Non ABS system.

Unless your ABS system is failing or your doing significant upgrades to your system, i'd recommend leaving the unit on.

ABS main purpose is to maintain stability while braking, it doesn't necessarily mean to stop faster..

i want to do this as well for a more cleaner look. Plus ABS is over rated ;)

Most of us kids with 94-97 integras will undoubtingly experience a failure of ABS unit, that is the time to do this swap as a new ABS modulator is around 600 bucks lol

Kids get rid of ABS, Men keep it.:lmao:

My 1990 Integra GS was built in 1989. It had over 250,000 miles on it and my ABS worked great. I don't like my 1991 LS brakes. ABS for the win!

well i almost got into a accident today and holy Sh*t it works great so i have decided to keep ABS even though it is going to look like sh*t when doing my wiring tuck, maybe i will paint the lines black so they dont stand out??

Keep in mind u have a 98+ model integra with the smaller unit that doesn't fail :)

94-97 integras ABS units are notoriously prone to failure and are quite expensive to replace unfortunetly.

if you know how to drive abs can actually impair you... but most people dont and if you dont it can save your ass.

Correct, the HID ballasts are absolutely huge and weren't designed with the OEM 94-97 brake setup in mind (HID's were available on 98+).

Converting ur 94-97 ABS to a 98+ is a absolute mess. Just keep your OEM one :)

The units are physically and electrically very different.

i removed my abs unit and now my brakes arent working lol. trying to figure this shit out! let you know how it turns out. this is what my bay looks like with a tuck and eliminated abs unit. i think it looks way cleaner. reason i did it was because my abs went out so i got rid of it.

Check to make sure you bled them properly. THe sequence with NON ABS is different than the ABS sequence...

X2 you always want to start from the farthest wheel from the master cylinder. then work your way closer. then just pump em up and see if you have any pedal feel. if not keep bleeding. shouldnt take two long.

well, this is what happens. (sorry man, dont mean to steal your thread).

we bled em like that. the first few pumps are good. after releasing it it goes soft again. while trying to bleed them it makes a funky ass noise. so idk what the deal is. bled brakes right as long as i can remember.
