so i bought a shell from dxe 1990 EF hatch si. Sold my motor out of my teg to fund the motor i put in this car.

stock sleeve ls bottom end
eagle rods
arias 12 to 1 pistons
itr oil pump
stock 99 si b16 head
usdm itr intake manifold
b16 tranny

shooting for high 11's in this thing once i can source a good header and my head is done. here is a lil video of it how it sits now... i thinks its way slow

well it's good that his making it on his own I wasn't trying to offend him or anyone by what I originally posted i've had alot of bad luck in my day I had a fully built sohc motor fresh out the machine shop put it in my hatch an the machine shop didn't assemble the motor correctly 1wk later before i even broke in the motor it seized up on me I was so pissed there went a few gs down the drain I don't have detailed info on why he went through so many motors he may have done everything right an they still blew I was just saying that imo when someone has gone through 15 motors something doesn't seem right

All motor is cool when done right. with a good header, port job and cams ive seen 1.8's make 225whp.

Im selling my SI when its paid off in July, i have a k20a in a eg that will have cams/headwork our intake manifold (still stock bottom end) hoping for mid 11's, then the big motor will go in :) We are working on a intake manifold for this car..10.77 @ 112 on the brakes

11s is going to be a strech... Even if the car is completely gutted. The engine combination you have suggested will not yeild enough power and or the rate of acceleration to hit your goal. I am sure you think I haven't a clue about this set up , but I have built many engines almost identicle and they have yet to hit 11s. Even if you run 14/1 comp or higher, you still won't make enough torque to get it done.

My suggestion would be to use a lighter rod, a custom lightweight piston such as an "X forging" and get the bore size up above 84mm. A combination like this will get you closer, but even then I feel 11s is a jump.

My civic went 11.57 @ 117 making 272whp 208wtq in a 2000lbs car. Your car will be lighter, but you will have to focus on everything working together to make the all motor goal you have set.
