hadn't thought of this....Basically it's looking like I'm going to be signing on the car if anything, because I have really good credit. My problem right now, is that I just bought my Xb less than six months ago, and I'm not sure if my income will be a sufficient amount for another auto loan. I know I would need a co-signer for sure. Does anyone know if when two people sign an auto loan, if the income of both people is taken into consideration if they are not married?

This is pretty much your best bet, but it can take a LONG time to resolve but its definately worth doing in the long run, unless you want to wait 4-7 years for everything to fall off.

On a joint app, depending who has the better score, they would go first and the other second. Depending how bad the credit score is, the second person may not be allowed to be on the app. If both on the app, the debt to income ratio would look better and it will make it easier for you guys to get the car. Just try filling out the apps.
