OK, my paint is dull in a bunch of places and starting to oxidize (I think) on the left rear quarter panel. I've tried waxing the hell out of it to no luck. My friend suggested taking it to a paint place, getting them to sand down the clear and re-spray it with the clear. Any tips/suggestions? And no, I can't spend money on a full paint job now.

Cut & buff... basically using VERY fine sand paper to "cut" the paint & remove the scratches in the clear coat... it's a long & labor intensive process but it looks so good once done right. I pm'd you my buddy's contact info :)

use... 2000 grit wet sand till u see no clear or barly any.... take a high speed buffer with a wool cloth pad with some nice compound.... then take a foam pad with an another compound then take an orbital buffer and throw some wax on it ... call it a day !
