grinding ugly noise under hood on DC2 :(

so i was turning and once i shifted from 1st to 2nd i started to hear a noise under my car. sounded like i was running over my front lip so i pulled over and everything looks fine but the car jerks bigtime once i put it in gear and accelerate and this grinding noise occurs its painful lol

i put it in neutral and pushed it and it still makes the noise. im thinking axel??? im really not sure

im taking it to dvi next couple days but man this blows any ideas?

When you say "grinding" I think transaxle... then I'd jack up the car, inspect & if it is tranny, I'd call TAGE :)

maybe a wheel bearing or axle.. get underneath it and check it out take pics!

My car did the same thing when i took a corner fast and punched it the dust shield just bent over and was rubbing on the rotor

maybe your brakes are grinding. check your brakes. then the backing plate, then the wheel bearing!!
