Belt squeak at startup = too loose or too tight

I just changed out my alternator and was wondering if my belt needs to be tighter or looser. The belt squeak is for just a second at startup and doesn't sqeak at any other occasions.

i figured it was a little loose but wasn't sure since its only far a quick second and doesnt sqeak any other times. Just wanted to ask before i waste time on trying to loosen and tighten my belt.

yeah for sure its lose. i had that same problem on my civic. and now on my integra i dont even bother using my ac cuz it just kilsssss my car. but yeah def tighten it up buddy
