Ok, I am making this thread to clarify that by having just this lock your car is not safe!!! I can't believe I hear people all the time giving advice that this is a very good theft deterrent.
I can speak by experience that this does not work. I got my car stolen with this on my car.
I am now gonna be upgrading to GPS for my next car. Please people, do not rely on this lock. I guess you live and learn by your actions and so have I. I am reading/finding all the info on GPS and found that this is a very good option to go. I do not want to ever see my car stolen again. I am telling this to all people who only have this as a theft deterrent. I had the good one supposely and had the fancy key to go with it. Pff, gone in less than 10mins.

Man FINALLY people are listening to what Advert and I have been throwing all over AZHT
Installed right an alarm+back up battery will work, but hiding the siren(s), and MULTIPLE hood pins located at the BACK of the engine bay are a MUST, and even then you are STILL at risk!
NOTHING is safe
GPS NOT LOJACK and a GARAGE is your best chance of keeping your car! But people are too fucking cheap to pay for it.

I can take one of those clutch locks off in about 30 seconds. they are junk. definetly invest in a proper alarm system with some killz instead.

uses 3-4 satalites, bounces a signal off the reciever, times how long it takes to get a response, using that information it can triangulate your position. The accuracy of the time internvals determines how accurate the location will be.

Some gps have to be outside they cant be tracked in a build or parking garage...So be sure to choose wisely...

Yup, i have them on my vehicles.
And to solve the GPS having to be outside thing, most of the newer ones including mine have cellular technology as well so if they are inside, they use a PCS signal to send location information out. Its cool technology.
