Aplies to boosted vehicles of coarse:

to slightly apply your vehicles service brakes during a race; from cruising/ freeway speeds, or rolling starts. This allows you go to WOT (wide open throttle) and acts as an increased load on the engine to pre-spool your turbo prior to the start of the race.

If you like warped rotors, quickly worn pads, and wasting fuel, then this technique was made for you!
