This is only my second swap ever. I need to know what all I need for my swap. Let me know if I am missing anything. (parts etc.)

1. engine
2. ecu
3.wire harness
4.new engine mounts(old ones are in decent shape)

My tranny and axels are in great shape . The car is my DD and needs nothing except a new
muffler. So what am i missing?

Oh hellllll no. my car is a LS i want to do a gsr swap. If it had a b17 I would just do a full build. sorry if I did not make to much sense in the first post.

you need an OBD0 to OBD1 jumper, a 4 wire O2 sensor, and OBD1 ecu. other than that all your ls stuff should work. just use your ls injectors and keep the resistor box.

that would work if his car is a 90-91. what if his car is a 92-93?

the car is a 93. I am trying to swap out as little as possible. I thought I could just swap the engine and get a new ecu. how much of a pain in the ass will this be? I am used to working
on toyota's mainly my old 91 MR2 (turbo). Now that was a pain in the ass car to work on, that is the reason I got rid of it. Needless to say I am not the best wrench around but I'm not an idiot either.

well if the car is already OBD1 then all you ned to do is swap it in and run 3 wires for vtec. one wire for the vtec solenoid, one for the pressure switch signal, and one to a ground for the pressure switch!!

You need
The gsr rear hatch glass which has NO third brake light.
The Vtec Front Side Moldings
The GSR Gauge Cluster or you could purchase a JDM cluster and switch over the tach so you have the 8k redline.
The GSR Badge

Here we go agian. Ok I got a couple of frirnds tellin me i should just do a LS VTEC because
it cost less and you get ABOUT the same amount of HP. But how much of a pain in the ass is it .I know a few you have ls vetec's can i get a little feed back I can't decide which way to go with this project.:crazy::crazy:

ls vtec would be a good way as well. you will need
-ls head gasket
-GSR water pump and timing belt
-GSR head bolts or studs
-vtec oil line kit
-complete vtec head with intake mani and dizzy
-vtec ecu
-ls/vtec dowel pins
-and you will need to wire vtec as before
-i would also upgrade to a GSR/Type R oil pump
-ARP rod bolts (recomended if you wanna rev like a gsr)

and that should be it. let me know if you have any other questions

man for the price of the ls vtec to get it built correctly its gonna cost just as much as a gsr but the lsvtec will be faster with more torque it all depends on how much ur willing to spend

the three people that I know that had ls vtec's liked them but they would break down more often than I would like.

well was it motor problems or car problems...trust me man a good lsvtec will cost a bit....decide what you want ur car to be a daily driver...a turbod beast or a weekend warrior
