cp ratio is around 9.5:1 or 9.8:1 88 and earlyer had beefer rods. stock d16 rods work. several componies to regrinds. jg,delta and others. can handle 8lbs perty relibilty.
8lbs and a good tune will have you around 180ish.
also if you are using your trans you will need to get the 88 clutch, the 89-91 have a different spline count.
will bolt right in just need to change a few wires.
good motor overall 130 hp 7200 redline.
any more ?'s just ask i know a ton about these.
also the info i gave you is for the dohc zc,

if you really wanna run some boost just get some PM6 pistons out of a D16A6 and it will drop your compression down to 8.25:1 and you could run 12-13 psi on a good tune. but if your gonna boost i would recomend a block gaurd, arp rod bolts and head studs and maybe even main studs!

if you are on a budget but can afford to take the block appart. get a block guard pre 88 rods and the a6 pistons and you should be able to push it perty far on a good tune.

X2 you could even get P2P (D16Y8) pistons and take the compression down even lower but you will have no bottom end power but could prolly run 15 psi on a good tune with a block gaurd. P2P's would take you all the way down to 7.9:1. and you could prolly still run on pump gas if your injectors are big enough!

i still want to retain bottom end power and i already want to beef up my conecting rods. thats the last thing i need is to bend a rod being stupid. the car will always be seeing 91 octane but i dont have money to go higher than that. every turbo car i have ever owned has been run on 91, it needs it like a fat kid needs cake. lol

well just get some tuner toy rods and some A6 pistons. 12-13 PSI would be real nice on a DOHC ZC. then just get some regrind cams and port match the intake mani and youll be set!
