guys i need help!!!!!!

ok so i got my ek ex......it has an automatic tranny and it had a blown engine....so i replaced the engine but now i get this noise like rod knock.......now it cant be rod knock or so i think because as i rev the engine the noise goes away.....my opinion is the torque converter or the tranny itself......anyone got any ideas/??? thoughts comments?? plz help!!!!!!!

you sure that the "knock" noise isn't just masked by the noise of the engine revving higher?

NO ITS NOT...I TOOK THE CAR FOR A SPIN AND IT RUNS GREAT.......COMPRESSION IS GOOD......TRANNY SHIFTS GOOD......JUST THAT DAMN NOISE AT THE LOW IDLE......IF I GET THE IDLE TO ABOUT 1500PRM IT GOES AWAY BUT ONCE IT GOES LOWER THAN THAT IT STARTS UP AGAIN.....

mybe its the harmonic balencer coming apart. i would check that.

oh ok.........im thinkin its the torque converter......i mean the cars runs good above 1500rppm........anyone wanna come by and hear it for themselves/???
