ok i have a set of rotas and i think they were origanaly black, then somone painted them bronze (looks like poop) and i want to know what i can use to strip everything off but not harn the rim. i was thinking break fluid but i dont know if the original coating will come off with that.


any ideas?

you could try plain mineral spirits and a rag to start with....

Yes it will, it will completely strip the thing.

if you need that stuff let me know...i have a can i used to strip my windows (worked good) and theres plenty left...probably like 3/4's of the can...you can have it man.it was like 9 bucks but just trying to help out...pm me if you want them...

will aircraft stripper take off oem finishes too? like the powdercoat?

well i tried it, the wheels had the factory primer, factory paint, another coat of black wheel paint. then the goldish bronze on top of that. all 4 wheels are 50%+ done and lookin like ass at the moment. tuff shit man. its harder than i though. im thinking about using breakfluid to finish it up.
